To gather different sectoral workers and employers’ organizations in order to discuss workers’ health and well-being conditions at workplaces and create a friendly bases for cooperation between employee and employers
Summary
The project is initiated by UFP together with partners from Italy, Serbia, Spain, Lithuania, Portugal and Latvia. The primary idea of the project is to improve the capacity of workers to defend their rights of well-being and proper working conditions via using information, consultation and participation mechanisms.
Today’s working environment is getting more tensed and stressful, burnout, depression and other psychological problems are very common, especially when it comes to Police sector. Every day the police officers have to work with criminals, violence, victims of harassment, etc. that affect the mental health of employees.
Objectives
To give possibility both employees and employers to identify their concerns and present it at international standpoint discussion in order to get to familiar with each others’ vision on problem solutions
To identify and provide the best practice examples from each 7 participant organizations/countries on the conditions of workers’ participation and consultation with managers and boards while discussing the working environmental policy and company’s internal guideline
To raise awareness of both workers and employers on EC directives on information, consultation and participation; to ensure the importance of cooperation and open decision making than not taking into consideration of workers’ interests
To enhance different sector workers knowledge and practical skills to defend their rights and lobbying their interest
To provide joint conclusions of employees and employers on the workers’ conditions in terms of information, consultation and participation
To transfer positive know-how from EU level stakeholders related to the workers’ involvement in decision making and proper implementation of rights to access information and consultation.
Activities
The project will last 18 months and include the following activities:
March 2020
International Meeting in Serbia
Analysis phase, as a result a case study will be carried out in each country, that is, 6 national reports in total. The results obtained will be collected in a comparative report.
October 2020
International Meeting in Spain
March 2021
International Meeting in Italy
March 2021
Final publication with the results of the project.
